Daniel Karnaus

Mr. Daniel Karnaus is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Vontobel Asset Management AG.
Mr. Karnaus joined Vontobel Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager in November 2000.
He manages fixed income investment funds and mandates, focusing on Europe and Emerging Markets (Global and Eastern Europe).
After finishing his studies in 1995, he worked for the Swiss National Bank.
His responsibilities included managing foreign currency reserves with rotational responsibility in EUR, USD, and JPY.
Before this, in 1990, after finishing a commercial apprenticeship at a trusted company, Mr. Karnaus joined the foreign currency trading department of the Cantonal Bank of Zurich.
He specialized in the trading of currency options during the following five years.
Mr. Karnaus holds a Business Management degree from the School of Economics and Business Administration in Zurich and a Federal Diploma as an Expert in Finance and Investments.
