Dan joins Spotlight as an operating partner with a focus in product and technology.
He brings expertise in product, sales and engineering to our portfolio companies.
Dan helps portfolio companies refine product roadmap, develop and optimize direct and indirect channels, and increase agility within engineering teams.
Prior to joining Spotlight, Dan was in a sales leadership position at SparkCognition, a pre-IPO SaaS AI company.
Prior to SparkCognition, Dan worked at First Advantage (acquired by Silver Lake), the largest background screening company where he ran product, innovation and design as Chief Innovation Officer.
Prior to First Advantage, Dan spent 13 years at CallidusCloud (acquired by SAP) in a variety of roles leading product and the worldwide technical sales organization.
He also worked at Austin companies Motive (acquired by Alcatel Lucent), Trilogy and pcOrder.
Dan graduated with honors from the University of Michigan where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science.
Outside of work Dan spends time playing tennis and enjoying the outdoors with his wife Amanda and their twin boys Henrik and Caleb.
