Bruce Bernacki has been Chief Technology Officer since August 2003.
Dr. Bernacki previously held the position of Vice President of Research and Development from September 2002 to August 2003.
He joined the Geltech research and development group in July 2000, prior to its acquisition by LightPath.
Earlier, Dr. Bernacki was in product development management positions with Siros Technologies from November 1999 to July 2000 and Iomega from September 1997 to November 1999.
He has worked in the optics industry for 20 years holding positions in optical data storage for both magneto-optical and phase change media.
His early career experience includes development positions with Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the U.S.
Air Force.
Dr. Bernacki is the inventor or co-inventor of five U.S.
Patents and holds a Ph.D.
and Master of Science in Optical Sciences, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Arizona.
