Barry Lake

As President of Vinco Capital, Inc., Barry Lake is responsible for raising capital from investors and for the overall investment and acquisition strategy for Vinco Capital.
Mr. Lake loves to grow businesses and has a terminal case of ambition.
He is intellectually dynamic, with a talent for making connections from seemingly unconnected data and pinpointing problems that need fixing.
Add a healthy dose of impatience to get to the solution, and the result is the driving force behind transforming small companies into high growth success stories.
? Mr. Lake is a serial entrepreneur and has been since the age of 12 when he began delivering his town’s local newspaper.
In college, Mr. Lake bought a franchise of a company called Student Painters and grew it to be one of the top franchises in company history.
Building on this experience, following success in Toronto’s commercial real estate industry, he pioneered the startup of a similar college painting franchise business in 1997 which quickly exploded to include over 100 franchisees throughout the U.S.
and Canada in less than six years.
Lake stayed true to his talent for transforming businesses with the 2004 purchase of Rollins-PCI Construction, and built it from revenues of $3million to over $25million in less than four years.
?With all he has achieved in the professional area, Mr. Lake is most proud of his work with a non-profit called College Bound.
He served on the Board of Directors and worked (along with his wife Nicole) as a tutor and a mentor to high school students from at-risk neighborhoods in Washington, D.C.
Barry and his wife Nicole, now live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with their three dogs.
They enjoy friends and family, golf and tennis, and travel in their spare time.
