Prior to joining NRS in 1991, Mr. Romaine was a vice-president and senior portfolio manager at Webster Management, a wholly-owned investment management subsidiary of Kidder, Peabody & Co. Inc., where he spent seventeen years managing many of the same relationships he does today.
Prior to Webster, he was a vice-president and portfolio manager at Clark, Dodge & Co., which was acquired by Kidder Peabody in 1974.
He began his career with Chemical Bank New York Trust Company, initially in the Trust Department before moving to investment research.
Mr. Romaine is involved with numerous conservation organizations and he serves on the Board of the Waterfowl Research Foundation.
He lives in New York City and Bridgehampton, Long Island and can be found participating in many outdoor activities.
Mr. Romaine is a 1959 graduate from Harvard University after which he served as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps.
After separating from the service, he attended New York Graduate School of Business.
