Andrew Kinsey

Mr. Andrew Kinsey started his working career within Andersen Consulting where his responsibilities focused on derivative and market risk systems.
In 1992 he joined Nedbank as their Derivatives Support Manager, enforcing management controls and ensuring that a suitable risk management system was in place.
Andrew’s flair for risk management evolved further when he joined Standard Bank as a senior trader in currency options, responsible for developing option-based strategies for the Bank’s corporate customers.
He also ran a long-term forwards book for Standard Bank.
In 1998 Andrew Kinsey joined ABN AMRO as the Chief Dealer in the Foreign Exchange and Money Markets where he oversaw all the local operation’s treasury risk positions.
Andrew was then invited to join Corpcapital to develop the foreign exchange section of the trading room.
He was responsible for all foreign exchange risk management as well as proprietary trading in fixed income and equity derivatives.
In 2004 he joined CFI where he was involved in developing financial models which were used to evaluate the efficacy of prospective forestry plantations.
He has also participated in the development and management of structured finance products in Holland, South Africa and Croatia as well as providing risk, liquidity and operational management services to the group’s hedge fund in London.
In 2006 he joined Four D Associates where he was involved in developing and specifying a treasury system, which met with the operational and risk management requirements of small corporates in South Africa.
He has also consulted to medium-sized corporates on the development of appropriate and effective board-level foreign exchange hedging programmes.
Andrew Kinsey was appointed as Craton Capital’s Risk Manager in August 2006.
He holds a Masters Degree (cum laude) from RAU in Financial Economics.
