The firm was founded in 1989 and is a subsidiary of Brookfield Public Securities Group Holdings LLC, ultimately held by Brookfield Corp. (NYSE, TSE: BN), a Toronto-based global asset manager that focuses on investments in property, renewable power and infrastructure.
