Ms. Alexis G.
Miller
is Managing Director at Guzman & Co. She joined Guzman & Company in 2007 and is responsible for the implementation of trading ideas for the firm’s principal investments, as well as the development of marketing initiatives.
She is also responsible for research and portfolio management for the GIS SmallCap Master Fund, a long-short equity hedge fund which invests primarily in the US small-cap sector.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Miller was a Market Intelligence Analyst at Legg Mason Capital Management in Baltimore.
Before entering the financial industry, she was a commissioned naval officer in the United States Navy and served aboard a guided missile destroyer, the USS Carney (DDG 64), as the Strike Weapons Officer during Operation Enduring Freedom.
She was responsible for managing a division of enlisted sailors responsible for the employment of the Tomahawk Cruise Missile.
Ms. Miller obtained her BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy and her MS in Finance from Johns Hopkins University.
She is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and is currently a Level III candidate pursuing the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
She holds the following FINRA licenses: Series 7 and 24.
