Joseph Miller (born October 14, 1981 in Lakeville, Minnesota) is a former stock car racer in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the Camping World Truck Series.

Background
Miller grew up in the Lakeville, Minnesota area. He began racing quarter midgets at the age of 12 and eventually ran various hobby stock series races, winning many races. He had 22 starts in the American Speed Association with three top tens. He also competed in the ARCA RE/MAX Series scoring five wins in his rookie year with Country Joe Racing, easily clinching 2005 Rookie of the Year, but finished second to Frank Kimmel for the championship.

NASCAR career
In 2006, Miller attempted the full schedule in the Craftsman Truck Series, driving the #12 Toyota Tundra for Darrell Waltrip Motorsports. After fourteen starts and a fifth-place finish at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway, he was released from his ride due to a lack of sponsorship.

After NASCAR
Miller competed infrequently in the ARCA series with his old family-owned team, but the team eventually sold all of its equipment. Miller returned to the ARCA series for one last race at the Pocono Raceway on 5 August 2007 and crashed in an accident not of his doing. In the post-incident interview, he said that he was returning to help run the family housing business in Minnesota and that he would probably not race again. However in late August 2011, Miller returned to the ARCA Racing Series at the Madison International Speedway with Win-Tron Racing's #32 Champion Oil Dodge.

Joseph R. Swedish, also known as Joe Swedish, is an American health care executive, and former hospital executive. Swedish is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Indianapolis-based Anthem Inc., the second-largest health insurer in the United States. Formerly, Swedish was the CEO of Trinity Health, Corp. from December 2004 until his resignation in February 2013 when he was named the CEO of Anthem. Swedish attended elementary school at a local orphanage while growing up on his parents' farm in Virginia. Later, he attended Duke University and received a master's degree in health administration in 1979.

Career
Throughout his career, Joe Swedish has had approximately 40 years of experience as a high level hospital executive. From 1994 until 1998, Swedish was the president of the East Florida and Central Florida Divisions for the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). In the fall of 1997, Swedish was appointed to CEO of both the East Florida and Central Florida divisions until he resigned in 1999. Following his time with the HCA, Swedish was the president and CEO of Centura Health Inc., the largest hospital system in Colorado, from 1999 to 2005.

In December 2004, Swedish was named the CEO of Trinity Health, Corp., a hospital system based in Michigan consisting of 47 hospital in ten states. Swedish officially resigned from his position at Centura and began working with Trinity in January 2005. At Trinity, Swedish implemented changes to the company's health care delivery system by changing clinical and business processes and integrating IT platforms.

In February 2013, Swedish was named Chief Executive Officer of Anthem Inc., one of the largest health insurers in the United States. Naming Swedish CEO came as a surprise to many industry veterans and regulators, including WellPoint investors, due to having little experience in the insurance industry. In the MAC final, the Bulls lost in overtime to Ohio University on a tip-in by Leon Williams with 0.5 seconds remaining, thus, the Bulls failed to clinch the automatic bid to the 2005 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.

Gilbert, considered to be one of the best defenders to ever don a Bulls' jersey, averaged 7.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals his senior season while also setting the school record for games played in a career (118).

Upon graduating in 2005, he went on to sign a professional contract with German second division team FC Schalke. When interviewed after his signing, Gilbert said 'I am excited about the opportunity to play professionally, I knew that I would play overseas some day, I am just surprised that it happened so fast.' In his one season in Germany, Gilbert averaged 18 points per game, while recording his season-high 33 points in a 92-79 home victory over Rhöndorf.

For the 2006-07 season, Gilbert made the move to England, where he signed for Paul James's Guildford Heat side, who were only in their second year of existence. A major coup for the side, Gilbert became a pivotal player in leading the club to its first ever BBL title. He averaged an impressive 16.9 points in 33.9 minutes per game.

He returned for a second season to lead the Heat into the ULEB Cup, the club's debut in European competition. He joined Kodak in 1970 as a statistical analyst and held a variety of positions throughout his career before becoming president and CEO in 2000. Carp stepped down as President and CEO in 2005 and was succeeded by Antonio M. Pérez. On December 31, 2005, Perez took over as Chairman of the Board.

His education includes a BBA in Quantitative Methods from the Ohio University, an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Master's degree in Management (M.B.A.) as a Sloan Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 1988.
