Unizyx Holding Corporation announced the launch of its Aerobeam five- and eight-port gigabit, Audio Video (AV) Ethernet Switches specifically tuned for the home entertainment center. The Aerobeam AVS105 and AVS108 automatically prioritizes multimedia streams to ensure the best possible performance and content quality, taking the frustration out of connecting home entertainment devices and trying to figure out what device needs what priority. The Aerobeam AV Switches utilize on-board intelligence to make perfect prioritization decisions automatically. The switches monitor traffic in real time, and are able to detect bandwidth and latency sensitive traffic such as SIP and streaming traffic and give them priority while passing through the switch. This provides a better audio and video experience for the end user, especially on networks with multiple users utilizing the home network at the same time. The Aerobeam AV switches will make sure streaming traffic is not interrupted by web browsing or large file transfers happening at the same time. The Aerobeam AV Switches are optimized right out of the box for: Netflix(TM); Hulu(TM); YouTube(TM); iTunes(TM); Windows Media Player(TM); Winamp(TM); RealPlayer(TM); Xbox(TM); RTSP/RTP; SIP/SDP. Availability: the AVS105 and AVS 108 Gigabit AV Switches will be generally available in March, 2012 and priced competitively to standard GbE switches that don't have intelligent prioritization.
