Zephyr Textiles Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported sales were PKR 845,175,728 against PKR 872,080,676 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 37,621,693 against PKR 56,140,737 a year ago. Profit before taxation was PKR 10,720,425 against PKR 26,769,333 a year ago. Profit after tax was PKR 3,813,046 against PKR 21,340,500 a year ago. Earnings per share were PKR 0.06 against PKR 0.36 a year ago.
For the six months, the company reported sales of PKR 1,673,742,805 against PKR 1,711,231,167 a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 80,944,666 against PKR 101,153,226 a year ago. Loss before taxation was PKR 13,164,651 against profit of PKR 39,221,407 a year ago. Loss after tax was PKR 27,139,240 against PKR 28,447,100 a year ago. Loss per share was PKR 0.46 against earnings per share of PKR 0.48 a year ago.
