(Alliance News) - Zenova Group PLC on Monday said its Zenova FX fluid and its six and nine-litre fire extinguishers have been tested by MPA Dresden Institute.

The London-based fire safety and heat management technology firm said its products completed the batter of regulation EN3-7 tests which are required for European certification.

MPA Dresden Institute is a European Union-recognised certification centre.

The firm said it expects to receive formal certificates by the end of October, which will enable it to begin marketing its products to retail and industrial customers.

It added that it received its first order for its FX 6 litre extinguisher immediately following the news of its test completion.

Chief Executive Thomas Melchior said: "Passing EN3-7 certification for both our fluids and extinguishers, is clearly a major milestone in the company's short history. The team have been working hard to create distinctive products in the marketplace and gaining EN3-7 certification is a crucial endorsement of that effort and further supports the company's growing competitive advantage in the marketplace."

Zenova shares rose 5.3% to 5.00 pence each on Monday morning in London.
