POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made by Yorkey Optical International (Cayman) Ltd. (the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company and potential investors that, based on the latest unaudited management accounts of the Group for the twelve months ended 31 December 2016 and the information currently available, the Group is expected there will be an increase in the consolidated profit for the year ended 31 December 2016 as compared to that of the corresponding period in the previous year. The Board believes that such expected increase in profit is primarily attributable to the increase in gross profit, effective operating expense control and the increase of the currency exchange gains.

The information contained in this announcement is only a preliminary assessment by the Board based on information currently available to the Group, including the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the twelve months ended 31 December 2016, and is not based on any information or figures that have been audited or reviewed by the auditors of the Company. The Directors wish to emphasize that the results of the Group for the year ended 31 December 2016 will be affected by many factors, including but not limited to any probable audit adjustments to be made by the Company's auditors to the final results and to the share of results of an associate. Details of any further information will be announced and disclosed in a separate announcement (if any) or be disclosed in the 2016 final results announcement. The final results announcement of the Company for the year ended 31 December 2016 is expected to be released in March 2017.

As at the date of this announcement, the Board comprises two executive Directors, namely Mr. Lai I-Jen and Mr. Nagai Michio; two non-executive Directors, namely Mr. Liao Kuo-Ming and Ms. Wu Shu-Ping; and three independent non-executive Directors, namely Mr. Chiang Hsiang-Tsai, Mr. Chou Chih-Ming and Mr. Wang Yi- Chi.
