Battery Minerals Limited announced that as part of ongoing transition and rapid growth to become a graphite production company, the Board has appointed two new Independent Non-Executive Directors and, with Mr. David Flanagan moving to Managing Director and Ms. Cherie Leeden stepping down from the Board, Battery Minerals, has moved to a more a traditional governance structure in line with corporate governance best practice. Mr. Jeff Dowling has been appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director and elected as Independent Non-Executive Chairman. Jeff has over 6 ½ years experience as a non- executive chairman and non-executive director, and over 30 years experience with Ernst and Young, predominantly leadership roles in audit, risk and finance.

Since leaving Ernst and Young 6 ½ years ago Jeff has held non-executive chairman and non-executive director positions with ASX listed companies including NRW, S2 Resources, Sirius Resources, Pura Vida Energy, Atlas Iron and Fleetwood. Ms. Ivy Chen has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Ivy is a geologist with over 30 years' international experience in near-mine exploration, resource estimation and operations.

This also includes 6 years in the role of Senior Specialist, Mining Geology and Resources at Australian Securities Investment Commission (ASIC). David Flanagan will move from the role of Executive Chairman to that of Managing Director. Co-founder, Cherie Leeden, will step down as an Executive Director and move to the role of Consultant, Business Development and Technology.

Jeff is currently non-executive chairman of S2 Resources Limited and a non-executive director of NRW Holdings Ltd. and Fleetwood Holdings Ltd. Jeff was up to September 2015.
