Wangfujing Group Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021. For the first quarter, the company announced sales was CNY 2,486.586 million compared to CNY 1,519.937 million a year ago. Operating income was CNY 345.381 million compared to operating loss of CNY 204.552 million a year ago. Net income was CNY 263.105 million compared to net loss of CNY 202.240 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CNY 0.339 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of CNY 0.261 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was CNY 0.337 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of CNY 0.261 a year ago.
Wangfujing Group Co., Ltd., formerly Beijing Wangfujing Department Store (Group) Co., Ltd., is a China-based company, principally engaged in general merchandise retailing business. The Company operates and manages general department stores, which deal with commodities such as apparels, food, footwear, hats, cosmetics, bedding products and general merchandise, among others. The Company is also engaged in the property leasing business. The Company operates its business through domestic markets.
