Roger Lodewick will have final commercial and operational responsibility with his appointment as CEO of Viaplay Netherlands.

The Dutchman comes over from ESL FACEIT Group, known for e-sports events such as ESL and Dreamhack. In a previous role, at TEAM Marketing AG, he sold media rights for UEFA's Champions League and Europa League.

Viaplay has been active in the Netherlands for two years and is best known as a streamer with F1 rights. But it broadcasts considerably more sports and has its own large catalog of films and series.

Last year, the Swedish company underwent a reorganization in which all decisions were not made from the headquarters, but worked more from a country structure.

Viaplay considers the Netherlands, a profitable branch, along with the countries in its Scandinavian home market as its core market.
