Uralkali (LSE: URKA; the Company), one of the world's largest potash producers, announces the key decisions taken by its Board of Directors at a meeting on 12 February 2015.

The Board has approved:

  • the acquisition by the Company of the shares of CJSC Uralkali-Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, that may be issued through an additional share issue for an amount of up to RUB 50 billion. The aim of the transaction is to repay the amount owed by Uralkali-Technology to PJSC Uralkali as a result of the purchase of 12.6% of Uralkali's shares in 2012-2014;
  • the appointment of Ruslan Ilyasov as HR Director of Uralkali and his appointment to Uralkali's Management Board, effective from 13 February 2015;
  • the appointment of Andrey Sidorov as Head of PR of Uralkali, effective from 13 February 2015.
