ULVAC, Inc. announced consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended March 31, 2012. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 157,048 million against JPY 172,730 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 1,275 million against JPY 3,002 million a year ago. Ordinary profit was JPY 557 million against JPY 2,579 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 35,376 million against JPY 1,180 million a year ago. Net income per share was JPY 716.90 against JPY 23.91 a year ago.
For the year ending June 30, 2012, the company expects net sales of JPY 213,000 million, operating profit of JPY 7,400 million, ordinary profit of JPY 7,500 million and net income of JPY 51,600 million or net income per share of JPY 1,045.69.
Ulvac Inc is mainly engaged in vacuum equipment business. The Company operates through two business segments. The Vacuum Equipment segment is engaged in development, manufacture, sale and maintenance of sputtering equipment, organic electro luminescence (EL) manufacturing equipment, solar cell manufacturing equipment, winding type vacuum vapor deposition equipment, vacuum pump and measuring instrument. The Vacuum Application segment is engaged in development, manufacture, sale and maintenance of sputtering target materials, control system related equipment and analytical equipment.
