Development Securities submits plans for 133,000 sq. ft. of new office space on the Cambridge Science Park

31 Jan 2013

Development Securities PLC today announces that it has submitted an outline Planning Application for a development comprising three new office and research buildings at Cambridge Science Park on behalf of land owner, Trinity Hall. The buildings will provide 40,000 sq. ft., 45,000 sq. ft. and 48,000 sq. ft. of new space and are now being marketed to end users under the names 420 CSP, 430 CSP and 440 CSP.

The proposed scheme will bring forward the development of the last three undeveloped sites on Cambridge Science Park, one of the world's largest centres for commercial research and development. It offers flexible and bespoke accommodation for laboratory and office users. Two of the buildings have the ability to be linked offering tenants accommodation from 40,000 sq. ft. to up to 93,000 sq. ft.

Julian Barwick, Executive Director, Development Securities said: "It is a privilege to be developing at Cambridge Science Park. It is rare for new space of this quality to become available at the science park and we have no doubt that interest will be strong. We have started to discuss our proposals with interested parties and look forward to the start of the first building in 2013 as part of our ongoing development programme."

Savills and Carter Jonas have been appointed as agents. The development has been designed by Aukett Fitzroy Robinson, with Carter Jonas' Cambridge Planning Team coordinating the planning application submission.
