Triveni Turbine Ltd. reported unaudited stand-alone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported net sales/income from operations was INR 1,730.4 million against INR 1,458 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income and finance costs was INR 447.3 million against INR 321.3 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 453.9 million against INR 304.9 million a year ago. Net profit from ordinary activities after tax was INR 305.2 million or INR 0.92 diluted earnings per share against INR 205.9 million or INR 0.62 diluted earnings per share a year ago.
For nine months, the company reported net sales/income from operations was INR 4,640.5 million against INR 4,864.1 million a year ago. Profit from operations before other income and finance costs was INR 1,119.6 million against INR 1,027.1 million a year ago. Profit from ordinary activities before tax was INR 1,126.9 million against INR 978.3 million a year ago. Net profit from ordinary activities after tax was INR 760.4 million or INR 2.30 diluted earnings per share against INR 661.5 million or INR 2.00 diluted earnings per share a year ago.
Triveni Turbine Limited is an India-based industrial steam turbine manufacturer. The Company is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing and supplying power generating equipment and solutions and has manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Approximately 6,000 steam turbines supplied by the Company are installed across 20 industries in over 75 countries, including Europe, Africa, Central and Latin America, Southeast Asian and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation countries. It Triveni caters to varied and diverse industries, including biomass IPP, municipal solid waste IPP, district heating, palm oil, paper, sugar, naval, textiles, metals, cement, carbon black, solvent extraction, pharmaceutical, chemicals, petrochemicals, fertilizers, oil and gas municipal solid waste based independent power plants (IPPs), and captive power plants (CPPs). The Companyâs products include backpressure turbines, condensing turbines, API steam turbines and smart turbines.
