Work on renovation of oil trunk pipelines (OTP) is performed under the investment program on development of petroleum products pipelines structure of Chernomortransneft, JSC as regards the facility 'YUG Project. Stage 1. Renovation of Tikhoretsk - Novorossiysk trunk pipelines.'

Renovation is performed by the efforts of Tikhoretsk and Krasnodar Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorates (ROTPD) and the Sheskharis Transshipment Complex (TC).

At present the specialists started the active stage of work on cleaning of Tikhoretsk - Novorossiysk-1 OTP for further transportation of EURO-5 diesel fuel. Cleaning of pipelines is performed with the use of chemical solvent and includes:

- Passing of combined solvent lots along sections No. 1 and No. 6 of the linear portion of OTP with the use of mobile nitrogen units,

- Circulation of solvent along specific sections of process pipelines of the oil pump station (OPS)-1 of Tikhoretskaya oil transshipment depot,

- Cleaning of equipment and pipelines at Grushovaya site of Sheskharis TC.

Cleaning of pipelines of the linear portion is performed in three stages:

- Passing of a solvent lot in the straight and reverse directions,

- Passing of 3 lots of EURO-5 absorption diesel fuel,

- Passing of an inspection lot of EURO-5 diesel fuel.

In December 2016 specialists of Chernomortransneft, JSC performed cleaning of standby legs of oil trunk pipeline underwater crossings (OTPUWC) over the Beysuzhek, Beysug and Ponura rivers.

The quality of performed cleaning of pipelines meets the requirements of the project documents, which is confirmed by laboratory analyses.

Completion of work on cleaning of Tikhoretsk - Novorossiysk-1 OTP is planned for August 2017.
