The Toyota group reports total sales of 835,788 vehicles in April, down 4.5% on April 2023. Group sales are down for the 3rd consecutive month.

In detail, sales of the Toyota brand fell by 0.5% (to 797,097 vehicles), while those of Daihatsu plunged by 54.4% (30,078 vehicles). By contrast, Hino sales rose by 1.4%%, to 8,613 vehicles.

On the production front, the Group announced that it produced a total of 816,601 vehicles in April, down 8.8%, with -4% for the Toyota brand (756,254 vehicles), -51% for Daihatsu (46,930 units) and +16% for Hino, with its 13,417 units produced.

Finally, the Group reports that it exported 174,456 vehicles in April, up 1.8% year-on-year, thanks to the dynamic performance of the Toyota brand (+1.9%, to 169,449 units) and the anecdotal decline in Hino exports (-0.5%, to 5007 units).
