The reception of dual awards for Corporate Excellence Award and Inspirational Brand Award presented by Enterprise Asia (APEA) once again proves demonstrate the sustainable development, outstanding achievements and continuous innovation of TPBank in recent years.

At the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards Ceremony organized by Enterprise Asia - Asia's leading non-governmental organization (APEA), Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank) was honored for two awards of Corporate Excellence Award and Inspirational Brand Award. These are the leading prestigious awards in Asia from Enterprise Asia for business and brands that have achieved outstanding achievements in business, community responsibilities, bring outstanding value for society.

Mr Khuc Van Hoa - Deputy General Director of TPBank said: "We are very pleased and proud to continue to be honored at this award. These awards will help TPBank grow stronger, not only domestically but also internationally."

Sharing at the event, the representative of Enterprise Asia assessed TPBank as an enterprise with a sustainable development and business strategy, achieving good growth with many outstanding business achievements as well as many active contributions for the community and society. TPBank is also a pioneer brand in deploying many digital banking products and services, creating a habit of digital banking transactions to millions of customers in Vietnam.

By the end of 2021, TPBank posted a pre-tax profit of more than VNĐ6 trillion (US$263.3 million) in 2021, increasing 40 per cent from the previous year. Its total assets reached VNĐ295 trillion, representing 42 per cent year-on-year increase and surpassing 17 per cent of the set target. Its total operating income (TOI) rose by 30 per cent from the previous year. Its bad debt was controlled at 0.9 per cent. The bank last year mobilised more than VNĐ262 trillion, increasing VNĐ77 trillion from 2020, of which the capital mobilisation mainly came from deposits of organisations and individuals. In addition to profit from lending activities, the bank's net income from services also rose by 65 per cent from the previous year, reaching VNĐ1.5 trillion.

She said that: "With a variety of digital banking products that are "tailored" according to the needs of customers, TPBank has spread the inspiration of digital banking, gradually changing the banking habits of millions of customers. As a result, TPBank's customer base has skyrocketed from 1.7 million customers in 2017 to 5 million customers in 2021, of which 2.4 million customers regularly transact on electronic channels."

The Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) has been organized by Enterprise Asia for more than 10 years, is now a prestigious award system held annually in 14 countries with many strict selection criteria and rigorous selection process. In order to receive this award, candidates must pass many rounds of evaluation such as financial audit; evaluate corporate and brand data over many years; Interviews and secret ballots by an international advisory board.
