Western Union entered a deal with La Banque Postale, the banking subsidiary of France's postal services operator, to expand global digital money transfer services.

Western Union's cross-border money transfer services will be integrated into La Banque Postale's mobile app and website, which will allow seven million registered online customers to transfer funds.

"I am incredibly proud to extend our relationship with La Poste Group and La Banque Postal as (an) agent of Western Union," Hikmet Ersek, president and CEO of Western Union, said in a company release. "It has been thrilling to see how our two companies have innovated and collaborated to provide consumers with omnichannel service, offering the flexibility of a fully digitalized web and app experience."
