The Central Works Laboratory of the Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik" (TKZ) has installed two new grinding machines that make it possible to prepare the samples for chemical-spectrum analysis and metallographic examinations.

The up-to-date Russian-manufactured machines were procured within the framework of a large-scale investment program implemented by the enterprise. They have replaced the functionally similar equipment that was put into operation more than 40 years ago. This equipment has run out its service life as well as become obsolete.

The new machines meet all the TKZ requirements. They are grinding the control samples with high quality, operating with a low noise level. The machines are convenient and easy to operate and to maintain, and, on the whole, they are the most efficient possible tools for the Central Works Laboratory employees.

The machines design provides for a high-duty rotor and grinding disks designed for the professional usage. This makes it possible to use the new equipment in preparing the steel and alloy samples for further chemical-spectrum analysis and metallographic examinations.

Such tests are an important stage of work with TKZ orders. They make it possible to assess the products metal fitness for the future operation conditions and to confirm this metal compliance with requirements of the customers and the regulatory documents.
