Taganrog Boiler Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik : Guarantee tests of the boiler made by “Krasny Kotelshchik” have been proven successful

Guarantee tests of the steam boiler No.9 have completed at Permskaya TPP-9 (being a member of PJSC "T Plus"). State-of-the-art equipment delivered by a large Don manufacturing company the Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik" (TKZ) has lived up to the Customer's expectations.

At the project start, "Krasny Kotelshchik" set quite high technical and economic performance characteristics of its equipment. TKZ engineers were supposed to design and manufacture a steam boiler with 96% efficiency and 30-100% load control range. All liabilities undertaken by the Taganrog manufacturing company were fulfilled and proven through the guarantee tests performed at the power plant.

Along with the training of the TPP operating personnel the guarantee tests finalized participation of "Krasny Kotelshchik" in the major overhaul of the power plant. The overhaul was intended for stable operation and enhanced capacity of the critical Russian power facility, which provides heating of the left bank of the city of Perm and supplies power to the local oil refinery. Equipment modernization of the TPP was executed as part of the Federal Capacity Delivery Contract CDC-2.

Starting from October 2023 the steam boiler made by "Krasny Kotelshchik" has been in pilot commercial operation. Previous equipment with steam capacity of 480 t/h with exhausted service life was replaced by a modern boiler unit with steam capacity of 540 tons of steam per hour. Another substantial advantage of this steam boiler is ability to stand high seismic loads that are typical for the boiler operation area.
