Nail Maganov, General Director of JSC TATNEFT, participated in the events devoted to presentation of a certificate for inclusion of the Bulgarian architectural and historical complex into the UNESCO World Heritage List.
A solemn ceremony of presenting the certificate to the leadership of Tatarstan was held at the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Jalil (Kazan) with participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director-General, M. Shaimiev, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Eleonora Mitrofanova, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to UNESCO, and other officials.
The Bulgarian historical and architectural complex became the 1002nd object in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage. It was included in the list following the decision of the 38th session of the World Heritage Committee in June 2014.
Addressing the audience, Irina Bokova emphasized that Russia celebrates the 60th anniversary of joining the UNESCO. The UNESCO Director-General said: "We have a strong relationship with Russia in the area of preservation of historical and cultural heritage, and in this regard cooperation with Tatarstan is of outstanding importance".
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan received the certificate from the hands of the UNESCO Head. In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out that inclusion into the UNESCO list confirmed the exceptional universal value of Bulgar and would serve to preserve the site for the benefit of humankind.
The work on the revitalization of Bulgar and  Sviyazhsk had become a national all-people's cause in  the Republic. Mintimer Shaimiev, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republican Revival Fund of monuments of history and culture said in his speech that the "Revival" Fund  was in the first place established thanks to the donations from people of all ages - young and old. According to Mintimer Shaimiev, both large and small companies, representatives of business in the Republic and outside take active part in the revival of cultural and historical sites and objects. He stressed that the names of all the benefactors shall be immortalized in the Republican commemorative book.
Nail Maganov, General Director of JSC TATNEFT, addressed the audience on behalf of the enterprises, which had participated in the restoration of the cultural and historical monument. He stressed that the work on the revival of cultural values in the Republic had been raised to the level of public tasks and was supported by the federal government, the leadership of Tatarstan and the entire nation.  The industrial enterprises in return do not stay out of this good and really needed by the whole community course. According to Nail Maganov, it was a great honor for TATNEFT to be involved in the restoration of the Complex historical monuments, the construction of its new sites: Riverside Station and the White Mosque. He also pointed out the contribution to this work of Shafagat Takhautdinov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan and Advisor to JSC TATNFT's Chairman of the Board of Directors, who used to head the Company until November of 2013.
