Taiwan Biomaterial Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 10.995 million compared to TWD 1.314 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 17.387 million compared to TWD 20.299 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 12.887 million compared to TWD 19.239 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.39 compared to TWD 0.58 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 15.156 million compared to TWD 2.095 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 35.360 million compared to TWD 38.949 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 25.973 million compared to TWD 37.463 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.79 compared to TWD 1.14 a year ago.
Taiwan Biomaterial Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company mainly engaged in provision of medical equipment. The products are still in research and development stage. The Company's subsidiary TAIWAN MEDICAL RAPID PROTOTYPING CO., LTD.(TRP) is engaged in trial production of medical equipment. Main products include foam artificial meninges products, stroke thrombus aspiration catheter products, repair and regeneration products for early degenerative arthritis and others.
