DALLAS, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark Morganfield has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Credit Officer of Southwest Securities, FSB (the "Bank"), the commercial banking subsidiary of SWS Group, Inc. (NYSE: SWS). Mr. Morganfield joined the Bank in 2011 as Senior Vice President, Credit Administration Manager.

Mr. Morganfield brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry to his new role at the Bank. He joined Southwest Securities, FSB from Credit Union Liquidity Services where he served as president and CEO. He has also served as president of Peachtree Franchise Finance and managing director at both ORIX Real Estate Capital Markets and AMRESCO Capital Corporation. In addition, he has held senior-level positions with Bank of America and RepublicBank in Dallas.

Mr. Morganfield earned a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., and an MBA with a dual concentration in finance and accounting from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.
