SunLink Health Systems, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended December 31, 2020. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 10.150 million compared to USD 12.805 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 254,000 compared to operating Income of USD 281,000 a year ago. Net income was USD 3.074 million compared to net loss of USD 42,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.45 compared to basic loss per share of USD 0.01 a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.46 compared to USD 0.03 a year ago. SunLink Health Systems, Inc., through subsidiaries, owns businesses which provide healthcare products and services in certain markets in the southeastern United States. The Company operates through two segments: Healthcare Services and Pharmacy. The Healthcare Services segment subsidiaries owns and operates Trace Regional Medical Center (Trace), a 49-bed community hospital, clinics and a 66-bed nursing home in Mississippi, and an information technology (IT) service company based in Georgia. The Pharmacy segment subsidiary owns and operates a pharmacy business in Louisiana with four operational areas. The operational areas include retail pharmacy products and services provided to residents of southwestern Louisiana; institutional pharmacy services consisting of the provision of specialty and non-specialty pharmaceutical and biological products; non-institutional pharmacy services; and durable medical equipment (DME) consisting primarily of the sale and rental of products.
