SHKP Chairmen and Managing Directors Thomas Kwok and Raymond Kwok in Community Chest Corporate Challenge with hundreds of staff

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) believes in Building Homes with Heart and encourages staff to participate in charity events, and it has sponsored the Community Chest Corporate Challenge for 18 years. SHKP Chairmen and Managing Directors Thomas Kwok and Raymond Kwok joined hundreds of staff and their relatives and friends for the charity event, and both of them completed the 10-km race. All funds raised went to rehabilitation and aftercare services under The Community Chest of Hong Kong, without deduction.

Thomas Kwok was the Corporate Challenge organizing committee chairman and spoke to the runners at the opening ceremony, saying: "I am very pleased that the Corporate Challenge has drawn a record 2,000-plus runners this year; an increase of more than 30% over last year. SHKP is proud to support this event, which puts runners' stamina to the test and raises funds for local social organizations."

Both the half marathon and 10-km race were held at the Pak Tam Chung Country Park in Sai Kung, taking runners around the scenic High Island Reservoir. SHKP's Royal Plaza Hotel had a refreshment station near the finish for participants.

SHKP places great emphasis on staff well-being and sponsors or organizes a wide range of sporting events, including the first ICC-100 - SHKP Vertical Run for the Chest that took place at Hong Kong's tallest building - International Commerce Centre - in December 2012. It attracted 300 runners as a new event in local stair climbing.
