SRS Labs (NASDAQ: SRSL), the industry leader in surround sound, audio enhancement, and voice post-processing technologies, announced today at the AMD Fusion¹² Developer Summit in Bellevue, Washington, that it will be showcasing Multi-Dimensional Audio (MDA), a revolutionary, open standard object-based audio platform that allows mixers to create remarkably immersive soundtracks by mixing each individual element of the soundtrack independently in 3D space.

Research and developed principally by SRS Labs, MDA is a complete end-to-end audio platform that is built on a foundation of object-based audio and is designed to unlock the limitations associated with a discrete channel-based audio environment. With the MDA platform, studios are able to create and deliver a true three-dimensional cinematic audio experience in theaters or at home to a wide variety of playback devices.

At Fusion¹² Developer Summit, SRS is teaming up with AMD to present MDA to the attendees. As active members of the 3D Audio Alliance (3DAA), a member-funded, cross-industry alliance, SRS and AMD are dedicated to the advancement of 3D audio for linear content throughout the digital entertainment ecosystem.

During the summit, Alan Kraemer, Chief Technology Officer at SRS Labs, will deliver a keynote presentation about MDA and how he believes this revolutionary breakthrough will impact the future of audio.
