Advisory Charter Members to Council with CEO and Board of Directors

SANTA ANA, Calif., June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRS Labs (Nasdaq: SRSL), the industry leader in surround sound, audio, and voice technologies, announced today that the esteemed audio expert Ken C. Pohlmann has been appointed as a member of SRS' newly formed advisory board.

As an audio consultant, educator, and writer, Pohlmann has served as an engineering consultant in the design of digital audio systems and the development of mobile audio systems for automobile manufacturers. Pohlmann holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where he served as a tenured full professor and director of the Music Engineering Technology program in the Frost School of Music.

Pohlmann will serve as a SRS charter member for two years and will meet with the CEO, board members or senior management, along with other (to be announced) members of the advisory board at least three times a year.
