Consolated accounts for the 2015/16 sports season published

Sporting Clube de Portugal published its consolidated accounts this Friday for the 2015/16 sports season.

Of note is the large reduction in total consolidated liabilities, which were down from 442.7 million in June 2013 to 355 million in June 2016, making for a reduction of 87.7 million. This reduction is linked to an increase in consolidated assets, which do not actually include the value of players produced by the club's youth system.

Despite an improvement in consolidated net debt by 89.6 million euros, which stood -50 million euros in 2011/12 and 2012/13, this figure would be even better if the transfers made in the summer transfer window were also taking into account.
