The board of Schroder British Opportunities Trust PLC (LSE:SBO) has said it is considering several options to increase the size of the subscale investment trust to boost its appeal to wealth managers and improve liquidity. Tim Creed told Citywire that to increase the size of the trust, there would need to be ?some form of event?, pointing out the high levels of corporate activity across the sector, which has seen six mergers so far this year. He could not comment on any specifics that Schroders was working on.

?If there?s one that can grow, we believe this is definitely one that can and should because it has a real reason to exist. ?There?s no other investment trust out there with a near-100% focus on fast-growing high-quality British companies, so we definitely feel its purpose is there. But clearly, the desire is for it to be larger, from us and from the investors?.
