The world of work has changed. The global pandemic has rebooted corporate cultures worldwide, with employees reflecting on what really matters, while firms get to grips with smarter, more flexible ways of working.

A new appreciation of our individual wellbeing is central to that evolution. And Schibsted is committed to acting upon that; tailoring an environment where the mental, physical and emotional health of our people is both supported and strengthened.

Shaping the future

"We see this new role as a cornerstone of Schibsted's future-focused corporate culture," explains Håkan Halvarsson, SVP People & Culture: "We believe success and value creation should not be seen solely through the prism of results or financial achievements, but rather through crafting a place of work that attracts, looks after and retains the very best people.

"Celina will now focus on shaping Schibsted's employee wellbeing and work/life balance strategy. That involves collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to clarify vision, creating and sharing best practises, and ensuring strategy translates to operational execution. This is an inclusive, exciting, and fundamentally important initiative, where we want to deliver something for everyone. I can't wait to see this in action," Håkan continues.

A question of body and soul

"There's no one size fits all solution for today's and tomorrow's employees," Celina comments. "We are individuals, with individual needs - as well as challenges and opportunities - and need to be looked after accordingly. It'll be my job to implement measures that enable our people to get the support they need, the encouragement they deserve, and the environment they can flourish in," says Celina, previously engagement manager in Schibsted Products and Technology.

"You could say I'm looking after the body and soul of the company. We are nothing without our people. And I'll be doing what I can to ensure they enjoy absolutely optimal wellbeing here at Schibsted," Celina concludes.
