Scandinavian Private Equity A/S : EQT VI invests in Nordic Aviation Capital

EQT VI has agreed to acquire a majority stake of Nordic Aviation Capital A/S.

Nordic Aviation Capital was founded in 1990 by Martin Møller and is today a clear market leader in turboprop aircraft leasing, a distinct subsector of the commercial aircraft leasing market, with strong regional market positions and a differentiated business model. The company is the world's largest owner and lessor of both ATR and Bombardier turboprop aircraft and the current fleet consists of almost 250 aircraft with an average value weighted age of only 5.4 years. The customer base is global with more than 40 airlines in 30 different countries.

SPEAS has made an investment commitment of EUR 10m to the private equity fund EQT VI.

Scandinavian Private Equity A/S (SPEAS) is a Denmark-based company engaged in the investment activities in private equity funds. The Company's investment focus is on buyout funds, which are active in the Nordic region, funds primarily investing in a single country in the Nordic region, as well as funds investing in Europe. The business activities of SPEAS mainly involve deciding which private equity funds to examine for investment purposes, deciding in which private equity funds to the investment guidelines, monitoring compliance with the agreements made and conducting investor relations activities. As of January 31, 2012 the Company's investment portfolio included EQT V, EQT VI, IK 2007, Litorina III, Litorina IV, Apax Europe VII and Herkules III.
