Rostelecom has deployed a new 24-kilometre length fibre optical line in Kalmykia republic. The line has 1 Gbps capacity and has interconnected the agglomoerations of Sadovoye, Umantsevo and Korobkin there, making the full range of Rostelecom services accessible. Rostelecom plans to install the Softswitch commutator in Kalmykia this year.
It plans to build a next-generation multi-service network in the city of Elista and in municipal centres.
