Lenenergo had net profit of RUB 5.133 billion to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in first half 2016, from losses of RUB 3.295 billion in the same period of last year. Sales revenue soared 48.9% year-on-year to RUB 25.78 billion, including RUB 22.01 billion from power transmission, up 50%, RUB 2.208 billion from network connections, up 55.2%, and RUB 1.571 billion in other revenue, up 27.9%. Lenenergo had operating profit of RUB 6.27 billion in first half 2016, compared with losses of RUB 1.518 billion a year previously. Earnings before taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 7.5% year-on-year in the half to RUB 10.877 billion. Net debt fell 17.9% during the half to RUB 8.968 billion. The main reason for this as well a lower net debt/EBITDA was a reduction of total debt due to proceeds from a supplementary issue of ordinary shares by Lenenergo as part of a program of measures to improve its financial and economic state.
