With all the 18 procurers of the 4,000-megawatt Tilaiya ultra mega power project (UMPP) agreeing to accept termination of the project, the lead procurer - Jharkhand - would buy 100% shares from Reliance Power Limited (BSE:532939). S K G Rahate, Principal Secretary (energy), Government of Jharkhand, told Business Standard that all 18 procurers have taken in-principle decision to accept the termination issued by Reliance Power. "We are more concerned with the future of the project.

So as per the terms of the power purchase agreement, Jharkhand as the lead procurer would buy 100% shares and pay for the essential expenditures which is land and other cost of clearances etc," said Rahate.
