Quintain aims to 'redefine renting' with the launch of Tipi at Wembley Park

Quintain, today announces the launch of Tipi, a new business which aims to redefine the experience of renting in the capital.

Based at Wembley Park, Tipi aims to combine brand new apartments with iconic views and exceptional service.

Tipi apartments will offer a range of lease terms to suit different needs; lower than average security deposits, and no fees or end-of-tenancy cleaning costs. The consumer offer has been developed in response to overwhelming feedback from London renters that the current agent led system is entirely dissatisfactory.

Tipi aims to make life easier for tenants by including utility bills in the rent, whilst additional services including cleaning, housekeeping and laundry will be on offer via My Tipi, a dedicated tenant portal which can be accessed via tablets or smart phones.

The apartment buildings will also provide communal spaces which allow tenants to connect with their neighbours, relax in great surroundings and socialise with family and friends.

The Deckhouse benefits from a pool table, outside terrace, HD TV, kitchenette and the Nest has 100 Mb/s broadband for home working, soft seating and an HD TV with Sky Sports. A well-equipped gym and screening room for tenants will open in the autumn. Outside the development includes an acre of private landscaped gardens, perfect for relaxation and catching up with friends.

The first tenants have moved in today.

Quintain is launching 140 homes for rent under the Tipi brand this year, with a further 120 apartments coming to the market in 2017.

The debut Tipi buildings, Montana and Dakota, form just part the latest phase of residential development at Quintain's 85 acre Wembley Park development, located next door to the world- famous Wembley stadium and SSE Arena, as well as London Designer Outlet with its 50 shops, 20 restaurants and coffee shops and a nine-screen CineWorld cinema. The Quintain team have been managing rental accommodation at Wembley Park for the past eight years.

Both buildings have brand new 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and benefit from hotel inspired services, including a 24-hour concierge and night security and on site Tipi team who can provide assistance.

Quintain manages both the Tipi apartments and the wider Wembley Park estate affording overall control over the quality and management of the wider neighbourhood.

Quintain's new PRS business is headed by Michael Allen, who recently joined the company from TIAA-CREF in New York, where he gained extensive experience of delivering large scale PRS schemes in the US city's highly competitive market and was responsible for a property portfolio valued at over $3bn. Allen is supported by Russell Markou who joins Quintain as Operations Director from the Hilton London Wembley Hotel at Wembley Park, bringing his experience of high-quality service and customer experience to Tipi.

Maxwell James, Chief Executive Officer of Quintain, said:

"Quintain's experience, track record and high quality homes are perfectly aligned to the requirements of a successful, professionally-managed residential investment business.

With over 1 million households renting from private landlords in London, we know there is huge consumer demand for a better renting experience, characterised by great service, simpler and more transparent pricing, all underpinned by exceptional apartments. Under our Tipi brand, we believe there is an exciting opportunity to build a significant PRS business in London."

Michael Allen, Head of PRS at Tipi, said:

"Tipi will revolutionise London's inhospitable rental environment. We have sought to put flexibility, ease and customer service at the heart of every aspect of the offer and it is this attention to detail in both design and delivery that means we can give Londoners the kind of lifestyle they have always wanted. It's really exciting to be launching this brand new kind of rental experience in the iconic location of Wembley Park."
