Pyrolyx AG has completed construction of the main building and main exterior areas of its new production plant in Terre Haute, Indiana. Pyrolyx and its partners are now working on interior finishes, and will begin installation of the process equipment in the coming months. Commissioning of the plant is scheduled for early 2019, after which it will produce around 13,000 metric tons of Pyrolyx rCB annually. This means that Pyrolyx will be able to recycle about 4 million scrap tires, equivalent to approximately 1% of the annual scrap tire volume in the US, every year in an eco-friendly manner. The resulting rCB will be used to produce new tires, plastics and industrial rubber products by Pyrolyx's customers across the US.
