Zagreb, 1 December 2017 - Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. (PBZ) has been named 'Bank of the Year in Croatia' by the respectable financial magazine The Banker (Financial Times Group). At the Banker Awards 2017 ceremony in London, Alessio Cioni, deputy president of the Bank Management, received the award for PBZ.

A wide range of criteria was taken into consideration for this prestigious award that is viewed as the 'standard for banking excellence' in the global finance sector. The banks had to present not only the resilience of their balance sheets and successful financial indicators, but also success in the areas such as the overall strategy, innovativeness and achievements in development and availability of banking products and services through multichannel platforms, and their action regarding financial inclusion.
This year, the global and regional winners got their awards in 141 countries. PBZ is proud of this award, and it obliges us to continue developing and promoting innovative and competitive products that will contribute to an even higher quality in providing services to our clients.
It should be noted that along with the award for the best bank in Croatia, Intesa Sanpaolo Group, within which PBZ operates, has been awarded the Bank of the Year in Italy and Serbia as well.
