10.12.2013 Perm Engine Company: new lands development

At the end of the summit some agreements were reached concerning beginning of procedures of transfer the land belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (the territory of the former military command in Motovilikha district on East belt route) to the property of Perm region administration. When these transfer procedure are finished building of new production sites will be started.

Vladislav Masalov, General Director of OJSC 'United Engine Building Corporation":

- Today United Engine Building Corporation is realizing the program of technical re-equipment. As to Perm Engine Company, we can say the following: under the instruction of Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, we have elaborated two variants of development - reconstruction of the existing production powers of "PMZ" and transfer of the enterprise out of the city territory. At the moment an active discussion of the second variant is held: all the materials, concerning the matter are being considered in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and we do hope that this plan will be approved. In my opinion, this variant is right and more effective in the long-run.

Sergey Popov, Managing Director OJSC 'Perm Engine Company":

- Perm region authorities plan that we will become the anchor developer of the new site (the total territory of it is 200 ha, and our enterprise needs only 40 ha): the main part of the area is intended for creation of technopolis. The territory will allocate small production companies, which will be incorporated to our enterprise.

As to the terms, the project elaboration works will take all 2014 and half of 2015. From the middle of 2015 we will be able to start building operations.    All in all we think that building process will take maximum 5 years. In 2017-18 sharp increase of production volumes is expected and we 'll find ourselves in a rather difficult situation trying to execute state defense orders without commissioning these above-spoken new production powers.
