OPTROM, INC. is mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of compact discs (CDs), digital versatile discs (DVDs) and cold cathode fluorescent tubes. The Company operates in two business segments. The Digital Contents segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of music CDs, educational CDs and video DVDs, among others. The E COOL segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of cold cathode fluorescent tubes under the name E COOL. In April 2014, the Company established three wholly owned subsidiaries in Tokyo. On September 15, 2014, it transferred intellectual properties to subsidiary Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery.
