CHICAGO (AP) _ Old Republic International Corp. (ORI) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $519.7 million.

The Chicago-based company said it had net income of $1.74 per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, came to 75 cents per share.

The insurance underwriter posted revenue of $2.42 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $2.05 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $558.6 million, or $1.87 per share. Revenue was reported as $7.31 billion.

Old Republic shares have fallen almost 9% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 22% in the last 12 months.
