The 83rd annual International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad traditionally featured a series of trade conventions. Organized under the auspices of national and foreign agribusiness associations, the events summoned numerous trade experts discussing the latest innovations in the agricultural industry and developments in rural tourism.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Development of Serbia together with the Italian Trade Agency - ITA-ICE-convened a conference about strengthening the collaboration between the two countries with an emphasis on orcharding and organic production.

'Young Farmers in Serbia and European Union' gathering looked at how farming could attract young generations, ways of engaging youth in agriculture in order to secure their own existence.

The 'Through the Fields to Europe' second regional agribusiness conference brought together Ministers of Agriculture and Environmental Development of Serbia and Croatia, Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic and Davor Romic who both agreed that Serbia could and should draw on from Croatia's invaluable experiences regarding the EU accession negotiations.

Participants in the second Agro B2B conference, hosted by the Novi Sad Fair, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Europe Network Serbia, presented the attendees with thirty million Euros worth of funding opportunities available to Serbian farmers in cooperation with the Italian Government.

Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection officials introduced the public with the National Action Plan Twinning project aimed at maintaining sustainable agriculture.

Czech companies and exhibitors ran several workshops on their own experiences in the use of renewable energy sources while a local 'pride and joy' of IT - DunavNet- displayed its latest ICT solutions in agriculture.
