Norse Energy Corp. ASA ("NEC" ticker Oslo Stock Exchange,
Norway; "NSEEY" ticker U.S. OTC) announces the Nomination
Committee's recommendation to the Extraordinary General
Meeting (EGM) to be held on July 5, 2012.
The Nomination Committee recommends that the Extraordinary
General Meeting appoints Mr. Per Kumle as a new Board
member and that he be elected for a two-year period, until
the Annual General Meeting in 2014. Mr. Per Kumle has
confirmed his willingness to serve as a Board member and he
is, by the Nomination Committee, viewed as independent to
both Management and major Shareholders.
Mr. Per Kumle has a career of nearly 30 years in the
Energy, Banking and Real Estate sectors. His working
experience includes amongst others: important positions
within Shell, Saga Petroleum, Citigroup, Storebrand and
Akershus Eiendom, where he presently serves as Managing
Partner.
Mr. Kumle has significant experience working with
restructurings both on the operation level and on the
financial side. He presently serves as board member in
Megaron AS, Aktiv Kapital Nordic AB, Aktiv Kapital ASA,
SiPro AS and Gjensidige Bank ASA. He currently owns 100.000
shares in NEC. Per Kumle has an MSc in Chemical
Engineering. He is married and has two children. He resides
in Oslo Norway.
