- Accomplished 33 Year Broadcast Industry Veteran to LeadWBRE-TV / WYOU-TV and Associated e-Media and Digital Operations - WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON and IRVING, Texas (January 13, 2012) - Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Robert G. Bee has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of WBRE-TV and digital services including community web portal Pahomepage.com and Pahomepage.mobi which serve the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton DMA. Mr. Bee will also oversee Nexstar's relationship with Mission Broadcasting's CBS affiliate WYOU-TV under a joint operating agreement. Mr. Bee's appointment is effective January 20, and he will report to Timothy Busch, Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Nexstar Broadcasting. Robert Bee replaces Louis Abitabilo who is retiring.

An industry veteran with over three decades of experience, Mr. Bee has spent the last 18 years working in Pennsylvania broadcasting, most recently as Director of Sales for the ABC-affiliate WTAE-TV, in Pittsburgh, a position he held since 2003. Throughout his tenure at WTAE-TV, he demonstrated his effective broadcasting industry sales leadership, overseeing all local and national sales efforts and developing meaningful revenue streams for the station's TV, website, mobile, and commercial production verticals. Prior to that, Mr. Bee served as General Sales Manager of WGAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, WXIX-TV, the FOX affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio, and WLIG-TV which serves Long Island, New York. He has also held leadership positions at Independent Television Sales, Inc. and Metromedia Television.

He has also has held board positions at American Red Cross (Susquehanna Valley Chapter), Salvation Army (Lancaster and Pittsburgh), Community Hospital of Lancaster County, Capital Region Economic Development Corporation, Pennsylvania Economy League, UCP, and United Way.
