IRVING, Texas, March 11, 2013 - Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXST) announced today that Dione J. Rigsby, has been named Vice President of Technology. The appointment, effective immediately, highlights Nexstar's commitment to supporting the ongoing development of its digital initiatives as well as best in class technology for its expanding group of television assets.  Mr. Rigsby will report directly to Blake Russell, Nexstar's Senior Vice President of Station Operations.

In his new role, Mr. Rigsby will be responsible for overseeing Nexstar's information technology infrastructure, as well as the integration of recently acquired Inergize Digital Media into the Company's technology platform. He will also be responsible for the engineering and installation of the latest technologies into the Company's growing station portfolio and will oversee the Company's technology team at its Irving, Texas headquarters.

An experienced broadcast and information technology executive, Mr. Rigsby brings a range of accomplishments to his new role including a track record of building and leading technical teams focused on engineering and oversight of stations' technical systems, design and installation of enterprise network infrastructure, and database system development. He most recently served as Chief Technology Officer, VP/Director of Engineering and General Manager of Newport Technical Operations Center for Newport Television LLC from 2008 to 2012. In his role, Mr. Rigsby was responsible for all corporate technology and technical resources related to television operations and the Inergize Digital platform, HD news production, information management systems including broadcast, storage and server systems, and data center operations.

At Nexstar, Mr. Rigsby will assume responsibility for the ongoing integration of the Inergize Digital operations (acquired from Newport Television LLC in December 2012) with Nexstar's existing e-MEDIA and GoLocal.biz platforms which currently include 43 local community web portals. Inergize Digital is an industry leader offering fully integrated e-Media management solutions on-air, online and for mobile devices. Inergize has multi-year contracts with approximately 75 stations and other entities outside of the Nexstar platform.

Prior to his role at Newport, Mr. Rigsby held various executive and senior IT positions with a focus on designing and implementing technology systems and developing cost-effective strategies to fit business objectives.

Dione Rigsby earned an Associate Degree from the Southeast College of Technology in Mobile, AL. He served in the United States Air Force (USAF) as a Staff Sargent (SSGT), Avionics Systems (1993-2000) and Sargent (SGT), Flight Mechanic (1988-1992). In addition to his Air Force Engineering and Technical Services (AFETS) certifications, Mr. Rigsby is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) for Routing and Switching and has his Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) certification for securing Cisco Networks. He also is Microsoft and EPA Certified, has completed SkyStream Networks IP Encapsulation and Packeteer Pack Shaper training.
